Next Market: Saturday, June 25th; 9:30am — 12:30pm
News From The Market
We have 2 new growers starting on Saturday, bringing some beautiful fruits and vegetables (and yes, our vendors will have sweet, juicy cherries, strawberries, raspberries AND blueberries – another first for the market to have all of them ripe and ready at the same time!), and we’ll have lots of MOONSTRUCK ORGANIC CHEESES to tempt you (including a truly amazing Blackberry Blue), the very first of the season’s zucchinis and cherry tomatoes, as well as a huge variety of greens, lettuces, salad greens, lamb sausages & cuts, local preserves, and, oh, that baking!
At our July 2 market, we’ll have Wendy Picken as our featured artist, with Terry Brennan providing entertainment.
Then on July 9, you can enjoy the jazz/pop/folk fusion of Charlie Burton, and chat with the folks from the Saanich Pioneer Society at our Learning Table.
Bernadette Greene comes from a long line of growers, going back at least four generations.
Wendy’s Bag Boutique
Wendy has been sewing almost all her life both professionally and as a hobby, after working as a sail-maker for 36 years.
Sandra Phillips began making crafts in her North Saanich home after becoming fascinated with the crafts she saw on her travels.
While learning how to create a bracelet, Christine quickly discovered that she loved the feel of the beads and crystals.
Kathy and Jane are both keen home bakers and produce an astonishing and popular variety of baked goods from their home kitchens.
Great for a savoury option for brunch (or: these fritters started life as dumplings, so try cooking them with a casserole or stew).
